Owens & Associates, Inc. > Human Services > Crisis Intervention
Crisis Intervention services are delivered wherever a case manager feels are the most appropriate setting. This program provides intensive, time-limited services up to 24 hours a day for two weeks or 14 days. Extensions must have supervisory approval. The goal of the program is to prevent out-of-home placement and/or return of children to their home as soon as possible by providing a safety net with experienced professionals. In the past, children would have been taken from their homes in times of crisis. Today, families can remain intact because of a social-service movement that offers alternatives to removing children.
Benefits of using this service: Prevention of out-of-home placement. Return of children to their home as soon as possible. Professionals overseeing ctivities of family thereby assuring safety of children. Documentation of around the clock activities in the home.
